Exercise Toolkit
The Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging and Longevity of Hunter College and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene – Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response are pleased to announce the release of The Adult Care Emergency Preparedness Exercise Toolkit. It was distributed to over 130 Adult Care Facility staff members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in New York City.The Toolkit is an indispensable resource for selecting, developing and conducting emergency preparedness exercises in your facility. It has been developed specifically for adult care providers so they can quickly and effeciently accomplish the following:
- Select an exercise type based on your facility’s needs and capabilities
- Conduct an exercise as appropriate
- Assess the results of your exercise
- Implement changes based on those results
The Toolkit is comprised of six (6) sections:
